Transportation Options for Seniors (TOPS) Program
...I never would have believed that in a short time I would be in a wheelchair. It seems simple that someone with good friends would have no trouble arranging a trip to the doctor, but it is - for all kinds of reasons - all of which I understand. Thank goodness for Senior Services North Fulton and I thank those who kindness provides it. Please know that each trip you arrange is a real gift. I sincerely appreciate this wonderful service - it is SO important.
Transportation Provided by: Five Star Express Transit, Inc., Synergy HomeCare and Cambridge Health, each under contract to SSNF.
Who is eligible: For elderly seniors and those with significant vision or other physical limitations, the service can include a 1-on-1 service feature, whereby the senior is not only transported to the appointment, but has someone stay with them to assist with note taking, paperwork and so forth. The 1-on-1 feature is currently not available for seniors who need an electric wheelchair lift.
Destinations: Medical appointments and other healthcare appointments
Frequency: One (1) trip per month unless otherwise approved by Program Manager
Lead Time: Minimum of 72 hours’ notice prior to appointment
Wheelchair Accessible: Yes
Cost: A voluntary contribution of $10.00 one way or $20.00 per round trip, to help fund the program, is invited - but ability to contribute is not a requirement to receive this service.

Funding provided in part by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners under the guidance of the Housing and Human Services Department Grant Programs, the City of Roswell Community Development Block Grant Program, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, Inc., Frances Hollis Brain Foundation, The Sandy Springs Society, Roswell Woman's Club, The Catholic Foundation of North Georgia, Inc., the Roswell Rotary Club, and contributions made by those who use the program.
