Neighborhood Senior Centers

Neighborhood Senior Centers are places to make friends, stay active, have fun and try something new. Shuttle service is provided to and from the Senior Center closest to you, Monday through Friday. Each of our 3 Senior Centers offers activities and programs to meet the needs and interests of the Center participants. Activities can include yoga, tai chi, walking, chair exercises or line dancing as well as various card games and bingo. There are discussion groups, creative arts classes in ceramics, painting, sewing and seasonal crafts.  Educational opportunities address topics of interest to seniors, such as fall prevention, healthy food choices, computer skills and how to identify common conditions such as depression, macular degeneration and hearing loss.

Each Senior Center has a unique monthly calendar listing trips to area stores, upcoming speakers, diverse cultural events, celebrations and more.

So, if you are looking for a way to enjoy social activities but cannot drive, or if you are interested in enjoying lunch with friends rather than being home alone, check out our Neighborhood Senior Centers.

We are pleased to announce that the Milton Senior Center opened Monday, June 24, at Community of Christ Church.

The Senior Center, located at 3315 Francis Road provides active seniors, age 60 and up, the opportunity to socialize and maintain special relationships, enjoy weekly trips, exercise, dance, table games and much more.

The hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Transportation is provided to and from the center, and a hot lunch is provided to participants thanks to $295,000 secured by Fulton County Commissioner Liz Hausmann to open and maintain the senior center.
